Hand made Maltese Flags; the national flag of Malta consists of 2 equal vertical parts, the white at the hoist and the red in the fly, with a representation of the George Cross, edged in red.

The George Cross was awarded to the Maltese for their bravery during World War II by George VI in 1942.
