Marrowfat peas are harvested in late September and after removing their pod, they are immediately air dried to facilitate storage. The peas are double-cleaned and inspected to remove any impurities. To regenerate the dried peas to their original shape and size, they are soaked overnight in water and then blanched to soften their skin. Peas are hot-filled in cans and topped up with our special brine recipe. Once cans are sealed, they are pressure-cooked to perfection in small batches until complete sterilization is reached. Processed Peas are high in protein and fibre and low in fat.
