Medina Vineyards - Superior Chardonnay
The ancient walled city of Medina (Mdina) was the capital of Malta until the founding of Valletta in 1566. The city passed from a vibrant, lively place to a sleepy "city of silence" set atop fertile agricultural valleys below. The Medina Vineyards collection of wines is produced from grapes grown all over the island but predominately from those grown in the surrounding area beneath this fantastic silent city. All of the grapes used are grown in selected pocket sized vineyards and are hand picked. The wines are all fresh and fruity in style and are ideal for drinking with or without food.
The noble Chardonnay grape performs extremely well under the hot Maltese sun and produces white wines of great flavour and finesse. Modern fermentation techniques and state of the art equipment have been used to maximise the fruit in this unoaked full flavoured dry white wine made entirely from the finest Malta grown, hand picked Chardonnay grapes. Served well chilled it makes the perfect accompaniment to seafood dishes, poultry, white meats, pasta and soft cheeses.
