Made in Malta - Stamps First Day Cover Subscription
The Malta Philatelic Bureau regularly issues new stamps during the year and these usually represent a commemoration, an anniversary or information about Malta. On the date of issue, the Bureau creates First Day Covers for stamp collectors. First Day Covers are issued on a nearly-monthly basis and come with a leaflet which describes very accurately the nature of the stamps.
The First Day Cover (FDC) contains the newly issued stamps affixed on a specially-designed envelope and cancelled by the special "First Day Of Issue" hand stamp (timbru). The envelope (approx 193mm x 105 mm) has a unique design which originates from the theme of the stamps. The FDC comes with a leaflet which contains detailed information about the stamp theme, about the technical stamp details and sometimes on the designer.
In order to be able to receive FDC promptly, we are offering a simple subscription facility. To subscribe or renew your subscription, simply click on "Buy Now!" and complete the process. Your starting balance will be of EUR50. Every time, new stamps are released, the First Day Covers together with the leaflet will be immediately sent to your registered address and the value of the set will be deducted from your balance. The cost of the FDC is worked out as follows: Stamp Value + Handling Fee + taxes.
Together with the First Day Cover, you will also receive the account balance and the date and cost of the next issue. The balance will be carried forward month after month until it is exhausted by the FDC value.
